SUMMARY

Avel eCare, a leader in delivering specialty telemedicine across the U.S., is seeking a Nephrologist to join our Specialty Clinic team as a PRN / 1099 Independent Contractor. This role offers you the freedom to practice remotely while ensuring that patients in underserved populations gain access to critical nephrology expertise. This position delivers specialty care via telemedicine to underserved populations in correctional facilities. Physicians in this role will provide outpatient consultations, with schedules provided approximately two weeks in advance to ensure predictability and flexibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide remote outpatient consults through secure telemedicine platforms.
• Review patient information and develop appropriate care recommendations.
• Collaborate with on-site clinical teams to coordinate next steps in care.
• Document visits clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Follow Avel’s established telehealth workflows to ensure smooth and professional consults.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• MD or DO degree with an active, unrestricted medical license.
• DEA certification.
• Telemedicine experience preferred but not required.
